Hyotan Japanese Restaurant @ SS15, Subang

Instead of going to the usual Zen or Rakuzen for GOOD Japanese food, I've decided to try somewhere new to satisfy my Japanese food craving on Wednesday after work.

Left the office about 7.30pm because it was raining heavily earlier and I had tonnes of work to do.

After searching high and low, I finally made the choice to dine at HYOTAN Subang opposite SJMC, beside Al-Kenchana Mamak.

FYI, Japanese restaurants are mushrooming in Subang especially SS15 so there are a lot of other choices for you to choose. But again, I wanted to try something new.

A lot of Japanese liquor for display purposes.

There is a variety of ala carte dishes to choose from but mind you, NOT cheap though.

Hot Ocha with free refills. Funnily, the Ocha (Japanese Green Tea) isn't green at all. I suppose it's a different kind of green tea.

Gyu Kuwayaki (Sliced Beef on Hot Plate) @ RM 32.00

The beef slices were tender and juicy. Yummy!

Genkina Geso Age (Fried Calamari) @ RM 14.00

The calamari, also known as Sotong in local term were quite big in size. By the way, the Calamari were really crispy!

Wafu Ramen @ RM 22.00

This wafu ramen is the basic kind of Japanese ramen somehow priced at RM 22.00 I kinda feel it's a little expensive.

Saba Shioyaki Bento @ RM 22.00 came with rice, Miso soup, Chawanmushi, Salad, Fruits and Pickles.

For the price of RM 22.00 for a Bento, it is the perfect definition of having a good meal without burning your pocket.

The bill came to a total of RM 103.50 for 2 persons.

Overall the food is great but the place is pretty empty compared to Rakuzen. So people, start frequenting this place if you do not wanna caught in the waiting line for good Japanese Food as the price and tastiness of the food is pretty similar to Rakuzen!
